UN Global Goals

The UN Sustainable Development Goals are a roadmap on how to achieve long-term sustainable development. They support the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, which strives to eliminate extreme poverty, decrease inequalities and injustices, to promote peace and fairness, and to resolve the climate crisis. TePe primarily works with seven prioritised SDGs.

Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages

Target 3.4
Oral health is an essential prerequisite for people’s well-being and quality of life. Our educational initiatives aim to raise awareness of oral health and its connection to general health. Within the framework of TePe Share, we strive to inspire and contribute to knowledge exchange.

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all

Targets 7.2, 7.3
We use 100% renewable energy throughout production and have invested in our own solar power facilities in Malmö, Sweden, and Wells, UK. We put a special emphasis on increasing our energy efficiency to minimise our carbon footprint.

Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all

Targets 8.2, 8.4, 8.5, 8.8
We aim for higher productivity through research and innovation for sustainability. Our focus on resource efficiency includes investigating and implementing renewable materials in products and packaging. A safe and secure work environment is of utmost importance for TePe. Thus, we aim for diversity and gender equality at all levels and strive for a safe and inclusive workplace, at TePe and for our partners.

Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation

Targets 9.4, 9.5
We strive to improve our use of resources. To reduce our carbon emissions, we have integrated sustainability in our innovation process and are constantly implementing new technology. We work close to academia and take part in scientific collaborations to reduce fossil-based plastic and plastic pollution. We also support and promote the Eklund Foundation for Odontological Research and Education.

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

Targets 12.2, 12.5, 12.6, 12.8
We aim to reduce our resource intensity, while minimising potential degradation and pollution of natural resources throughout the life cycle of our products. All packaging is 100% recyclable, and we strive to reduce the use of virgin materials, increasing the amount of renewable and recycled materials in product and packaging. We aim to increase awareness by educating consumers on sustainable consumption and lifestyles and providing them with adequate information to make conscious choices.

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

Targets 13.1, 13.3
We see our responsibility in taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts by using renewable energy in our production, shifting to renewable raw materials where possible, and by striving to minimise the potentially adverse environmental effects of our products, services, and transportation. We aim to contribute to sustainable development and awareness by continuously communicating today’s challenges and possibilities and act according to our commitments.

Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development

Targets 17.16, 17.17
Collaborations are crucial to achieve the rest of the goals. Working together with other stakeholders allows us to learn, drive change and contribute with our knowledge. Our partnerships and collaborations focus on sustainable development, health, research, and innovation. They include, for example, FDI World Dental Federation, Swedish Society of Periodontology and Implantology, European Dental Hygienists Federation (EDHF), Sustainable Plastics and Transition Pathways (STEPS), the ISO Dental Care Committee.
