Saliva is important for a healthy mouth, and oral health affects general health. In this webinar, we will talk about how dry mouth relates to women's health. In the first half, we will explore the physical changes that can happen with menopause, including dry mouth. What happens in the mouth during this hormonal rollercoaster? About the speakers

Michaela von Geijer

 

Michaela von Geijer is an experienced clinician, with a special interest in prosthodontics and implant dentistry. She has always placed a high value on working with preventive focus. Michaela has experience lecturing as a teaching assistant at the Histology Department at the University of Lund, Sweden, and for professionals and students when employed by pharmaceutical companies as well as companies within the dental industry. Since 2015, she has been employed by TePe and lectures at universities around the world. Michaela is combining her work at TePe with dentistry at a private clinic in Sweden.  

Lina Kanters

 

Lina Kanters holds a MSc in Oral Health and has been working as an educator in odontology for TePe since 2015, giving lectures at universities worldwide. Previously, she was a lecturer at the dental hygiene programme at Malmö University. Lina has clinical experience from the specialist clinic at the department of periodontics at Malmö University, and from private dental practices in Sweden and Austria. She is especially interested in patient communication and preventive dentistry. In addition to her work at TePe, she contributes to the Swedish Dental Hygiene Journal and is the chairperson for a local branch of the Swedish Dental Hygiene Association.
