The TePe Daily™ Toothpaste range is made with few and carefully selected ingredients that do what most people need from toothpaste - for it to be effective against caries, gentle and without unnecessary additives. The toothpastes are made in Sweden in collaboration with dental experts. They contain no milk or egg allergens which makes these toothpastes perfect for vegans.
Can toddlers use toothpaste?
The simple answer is yes. Toddlers can use toothpaste that's made specifically for babies. The TePe Daily Baby™ Toothpaste is made for toddlers from the age of 0-2 years and contains an age-appropriate fluoride level to help prevent cavities. It has a neutral slightly sweet taste, but no added flavouring and can be used from the very first tooth. An unflavoured and foam free toothpaste will make it easy for parents to see the teeth while brushing which also will make it easier to establish a good toothbrushing routine.
What toothpaste should a child use?
Many parents struggle with their kids' brushing routine. A good choice to prevent cavities is to use fluoride toothpaste made specifically for kids. Another tip is to use a mild toothpaste for kids because it can help ease the brushing routine. Since the toothpaste has a mild peppermint flavour, kids can use the toothpaste for a longer time than if it would be a strong flavoured toothpaste. The TePe Daily Kids™ Toothpaste is specifically made for kids from 3-6 years of age.

What is SLS?
SLS or sodium lauryl sulfate is a foaming agent that can irritate sensitive oral tissues. It's mainly added in toothpastes for its ability to create foam and remove dirt from gums and teeth. People who suffer with frequent oral ulceration, dry mouth or sensitive oral tissues are often advised to avoid toothpastes that contains SLS.
When is fluoride toothpaste safe for babies?
Fluoride is safe from the very first tooth, make sure to use the recommended level of fluoride 1000ppm which is the age-appropriate fluoride level for babies from 0-2 years old.
How much toothpaste should a toddler use?
The amount of toothpaste one should use for a baby is very little. A tips is to use the size of the child's little finger nail as measurement. Apply a smear layer of toothpaste on the tip of the toothbrush bristles. It's important grown-ups are the ones doing the brushing - children between age of 0-2 shouldn't brush their own teeth.
